By Victor Ottah
The Spires 5Aside Lagos Island Division has reached its climax as the semi-final rounds delivered a spectacle of grit, passion, and footballing finesse setting the stage for an explosive final showdown.
Young Strikers FC booked their place in the divisional final after edging past a determined Greater Tomorrow FC in a closely contested semi-final. A clinical brace from Aweda, complemented by a goal from Laidi, was just enough to seal a 3-2 victory, despite Musa’s valiant two-goal effort for Greater Tomorrow FC.

In the second semi-final, familiar foes White Tigers FC and 2Odds FC squared off in a heated encounter that lived up to their storied rivalry. Reigning champions White Tigers displayed their trademark resilience, with Ojo Rahman’s solitary goal proving decisive in a narrow 1-0 win that keeps their title defense alive.
