Spires 5-Aside Knockout Round Bursts to Life with 44 Goals in Badagry Division

The knockout stage of the Spires 5-Aside tournament in the Badagry Division kicked off in thrilling fashion, with an astonishing 44 goals scored across four action-packed matches.

Chekas United were the first to book their place in the semi-finals, cruising past Akins United with a commanding 8–2 victory. Star forward Justin Hezekiah delivered a sensational performance, netting seven goals to emerge as the tournament’s current top scorer.

The goal fest continued in the second match as Emaljus FC overpowered Micro Giants FC with a dominant 9–3 win.

In the third fixture, Joint FC produced a solid display to shut out Favour Galaxy 5–0.

The final clash of the knockout phase lived up to expectations as reigning champions All Saints FC triumphed over Olhan FC in a high-scoring encounter, finishing 11–6. Hammed Wahab stole the spotlight, bagging five goals and positioning himself as a serious contender for the tournament’s top scorer.

The semi-finals are set to take place on July 9 at the Hon. Lukmon Olumoh Sports Arena, Awodi-Ora, Ajegunle, Lagos.
