All Saints FC Triumphs in Thrilling Spires 5aside Badagry Divisional Finals

The stage was set, the finalists took centre stage, and after a hard-fought battle, a victor emerged in what many are calling a final for the ages. The Spires 5aside Badagry divisional finals concluded with defending champions All Saints FC successfully defending their crown, edging out fierce rivals Chekas United FC in a pulsating 4-3 encounter.

Hammed Wahab, the division’s top scorer, was the standout performer of the final, netting a crucial hat-trick to secure both the match-winning goals and the highest goal scorer accolade for the tournament. Wahab finished the competition with an impressive tally of 14 goals, narrowly outscoring the fiery Justin Hezekiah, who ended with 12 goals.

The battle for third place also delivered excitement as Emaljus FC, fielding just five players, claimed a resilient 4-2 victory over Joint FC. Despite goals from Kenny and Samson for Joint FC, Emaljus FC’s dynamic duo, Tunde and Adebayo, each scored twice to seal the win. This victory secures Emaljus FC’s place alongside All Saints FC and Chekas United FC to represent Badagry in the upcoming Spires 5aside State Championship.

Coach Samuel Nkasiobi Ojo-Nwafor’s Emaljus side, Chekas united FC will join the highly anticipated state-level showdown later this year, the Badagry division will be led by experienced Coach Agbo Anebi’s of All Saints FC in a contest of champions.
