The Spires 5aside Badagry Divisional Qualifiers continued in exciting fashion over the weekend as the knockout rounds produced goals, drama, and intense competition, with four teams booking their places in the semi-finals.
Action commenced on Saturday, June 13, with a thrilling encounter between Smiler FC and Royal FC. After an entertaining 3-3 draw in regulation time, Smiler FC held their nerve from the penalty spot to secure passage into the last four.

In the second fixture of the day, Chekas FC delivered a dominant performance, cruising to a comfortable 4-0 victory over Divinely Blessed FC to seal their semi-final berth.
The final knockout fixtures took place on Sunday at the Hon. Lukmon Olumoh Sports Arena, Awodi-Ora, Ajeromi Ifelodun, Lagos State. Emaljus FC emerged victorious in a high-scoring contest, defeating Olhan FC 6-4 to keep hope alive, as they aspire for their 1st silverware at the Spires 5aside tournament.
Reigning champions All Saints FC once again demonstrated why they remain the team to beat, recording a commanding 9-3 victory over Rising Star FC. Led by the experienced tactician Coach Agbo Anebi, All Saints FC showcased their attacking prowess as they moved one step closer to defending their title.
The result keeps alive All Saints FC’s ambition of reaching a third consecutive final in the Badagry Division.
Attention now turns to the semi-finals scheduled for Wednesday, June 17. A blockbuster clash awaits as reigning champions All Saints FC take on fierce rivals Chekas FC, while Smiler Champions FC will battle Emaljus FC for a place in the final.

With the top three teams in the division set to qualify for the Spires 5aside State Championship and compete for attractive cash prizes,both at the divisional and state level,the stakes could not be higher.
Meanwhile, All Saints FC forward Obi Moses Henry currently leads the division’s goalscoring chart with seven goals and will be looking to extend his tally when his side returns to action in the semi-finals.
