Papa SA, White Tigers FC Power Into Spires 5-Aside State Championship Final

The semi-finals of the Spires 5-Aside State Championship Season 2, held on 12 November, delivered two pulsating encounters as Papa SA and White Tigers FC booked their places in the grand finale.

In the opening game, Papa SA edged Chekas United FC 2–1 in a tightly contested clash that kept fans on the edge of their seats. The defending champions, White Tigers FC, followed with a statement performance, outscoring divisional rivals Greater Tomorrow FC 9–6 in a high-octane goal fest.

Attention now shifts to what promises to be a lavish and electrifying final on 15 November 2025 at the Stables Sports Centre, Surulere, Lagos. Organisers have announced that spectators can look forward to prize giveaways and complimentary food as families and friends turn out to support their favourite teams.

The day’s programme will kick off with the third-place match between Chekas United FC and Greater Tomorrow FC, before the highly anticipated grand final between Papa SA and White Tigers FC takes centre stage.

Spires Media CEO, Dr. Femi Bankole, has confirmed a ₦5 million grand prize for the champions, ₦3 million for the runners-up, and ₦1 million for the third-place team. He also revealed that standout individuals will be honoured with cash rewards, including the Golden Glove, Highest Goal Scorer, Best Coach, and Most Valuable Player awards.
